24-hour Thinkathon: Toronto/Frankfurt - Culture&Entertainment

Your mission

Considering technological advancements your mission is to develop and discuss ideas to shape modern entertainment in combination with cultural heritage.
How can we use technology to combine creation and preservation and facilitate an inclusive society? What does digitalization impact our understanding of entertainment? How do technological advancements influence the development of our culture? How can we connect cultural heritage and modern digital entertainment?
Possible topics of discussion are the handling of intellectual property/copyrights, the connection on traditional culture and the digital world, enhancement of interest in culture by young people, the digital culture & the transformative role of technology.
Participants can choose to take part in one of the following three working groups that will focus on different aspects.

 Establish a social media strategy to boost awareness of Entertainment & Culture and influence the public!

Create a video to call attention to issues and opportunities surrounding Entertainment & Culture!

Thinkathon details

You can take part in the Thinkathon either in Toronto or Frankfurt. For 24 hours you'll work with other young people in your working group while constantly digitally interacting with the matching working group in the partner city. An expert will coach your working group in the chosen field, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable insights and develop new skills. At the end of the Thinkathon, you will have the chance to present your project and win a number of prizes.

To take part on-site you need to register and fill in the participation form. Based on your answers about why you want to take part, your background and your intent you'll be selected to be one of the 50 participants in either Toronto or Frankfurt. 
The Thinkathon will take place from Friday morning (Toronto)/afternoon (Frankfurt to Saturday morning (Toronto)/ afternoon (Frankfurt) for 24 hours.
