24-hour Thinkathon: Ottawa/Athens - Education

Your mission

Considering technological advancements your mission is to develop and discuss ideas to shape a
modern form of education that combines effectiveness and inclusiveness to build a strong and just society.
 
How can digitalization enhance the education process in terms of content, tools and accessibility?
How can we use technological advancements to create an inclusive society in the context of education?
 
Possible topics of discussion are the role of technology in education & skill development, threats and solutions for social exclusion, accessibility to digital education in rural areas, digital gap as a threat, the importance of digital skills & online resilience, etc.
 
Participants can choose to take part in one of the following three working groups that will focus on different aspects and have different tasks.

 Establish a social media strategy to boost awareness of Education and influence the public!

Lights, camera, youth in action!

Create a video to call attention to issues and opportunities surrounding Education!

Thinkathon details

You can take part in the Thinkathon either in Ottawa or Athens. For 24 hours you'll work with other young people in your working group while constantly digitally interacting with the matching working group in the partner city. An expert will coach your working group in the chosen field, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable insights and develop new skills. At the end of the Thinkathon, you will have the chance to present your project and win a number of prizes.

To take part on-site you need to register and fill in the participation form. Based on your answers about why you want to take part, your background and your intent you'll be selected to be one of the 50 participants in either Ottawa or Athens. 
 
The Thinkathon will take place from Friday morning (Ottawa)/afternoon (Athens to Saturday morning (Ottawa)/ afternoon (Athens) for 24 hours.
