Shape the security of tomorrow!
Our fundamental rights in Europe and Canada create ‘an area of freedom, security and justice’.
However, these rights are not absolute and can be removed for security purposes under certain
circumstances. What is the relationship between liberty and security from a current
perspective? We have to rethink our understanding of security in the digital context
considering the current political climate characterized by radicalization, terrorism, cyber-attacks, and cross-border and cross-sector insecurity.
